Virtual 3D object, audio, 4:20 min

“Centaurea stoebe” is the botanical name of a species of knapweed whose blossom, captured as a 3D scan, can be navigated virtually in the work. Upon entering the object, an audio track becomes audible in which a speculative text reflects on the relationship between 3D technology, the use of computer software, and the (re)construction and perception of reality. This is framed by the piece “Duo des Fleurs” from Léo Delibes’ Lakmé.
